This large red and blue abstract painting is created using encaustic wax, oil, oil stick, shellac, and alcohol inks. The surface holds layered translucency, soft blurring, and embedded marks that feel both preserved and dissolving.
Color moves between deep crimson, muted rose, soft blue, and atmospheric neutrals. Areas of density meet translucent wax veils where earlier gestures remain visible beneath the surface. The composition allows forms to emerge and recede, as if memory itself is shifting.
This work reflects the tension between holding and releasing. Remember the good. Do not forget the bad. But allow both to soften at the edges. The blurring is intentional. It speaks to integration rather than erasure.
