We can also find inspiration within ourselves. Think about your own feelings and experiences, and be creative. I’m grateful I made it through tough times and now get to enjoy life. My motto in life is: “Suck the marrow out of the bone!”

Every painting has a story!

Visual Story Telling in art is an important part of communicating stories visually, as it can be used to create subtle but powerful images and evoke certain emotions in viewers.

Ultimately, by using symbolism in art, you can tell stories in a unique and powerful way that speaks to the viewer on a deeper level.

Benefits of Visual Story Telling in Art

Visual Story Telling in visual art is a powerful tool for communicating complex ideas in a simple and engaging way. It can help to create powerful connections between the viewer and the artwork, allowing the artist to effectively evoke emotion and draw the viewer into the story being told. By using the visual elements of colour, texture, and composition, the artist is able to create an experience that speaks to the viewer on a deeper level. Visual storytelling can help to convey feelings, thoughts, and stories that may not be possible through words alone, giving the viewer a unique and lasting impression of the work.

The Story Behind the Painting

When creating a piece of art or a story, it is important to use simple elements to communicate a complex idea. Consider the composition of the elements, such as the placement of characters, objects, and colours, as well as the use of light to create a mood and story. Additionally, symbolism and metaphor can be used to create deeper levels of meaning which can help to engage the audience and draw them in.

To get started on your artwork, it’s important to have a concept. Your concept is the foundation of your art and will be your guide as you create it. To come up with your concept, you need to find inspiration. This can help you figure out what ideas you want to share and what feelings you want your artwork to evoke. Let’s explore how to get inspiration and how to turn it into a concept for your artwork.

The Story Behind the Painting

  • Swan= Purity and Sacrifice.
  • Swallows = Freedom and Flight.
  • Horse = Power and Freedom.
  • Blue = Peace
  • Water= Spirit
  • Dogs = Protection
I gather my inspiration from my own life story. I use my life experiences to create stories of strong women who have overcome abuse, neglect and rejection. My concept is based on these real life stories, helping me to make art that conveys my message and my emotions.

When it comes to creating impactful and memorable artwork, using visual story telling, the importance of inspiration cannot be overstated. Gathering inspiration is a key component in forming a concept for your artwork, giving you direction and purpose as you embark on your creative journey. But where can you find that inspiration?

The answer is all around us. We can get ideas from the things around us, like nature, buildings, and even tiny things. Ideas can also come from inside us. We can use our memories, our feelings, and our creativity. Nature often gives me ideas. I can admire seeing how God created the eagle in flight or the way my horse moves when I ride it. I’m so lucky to have made it through hard times and to now be living a wonderful life.
